The new glass yarn plant in Qingyuan, Guangdong province commenced trial production ; the new glass frabic plant in Liangzhou, Guangdong province commenced trial production;
Acquired 80% interests in a Taiwanese PCB shop - Express Electronics (Suzhou) Company limited in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
2007 Natural gas based methanol plant in Chongqing commenced production;
The new phenol/acetone plant in Huizhou, Guangdong province commenced production;
Capacity expanion in glass epoxy laminate plants in Fogang, Guangdong province and Jiangyin, Jiangsu province.
2006 Kingboard Laminates was spun off for a separate lising on the main board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited;
Methanol JV with China BlueChemical in Hainan province commenced production
2005 The Group acquired 100% of the Hong Kong-listed Elec & Eltek International Holdings Limited ("Elec & Eltek") and 70% of the Singapore-listed Elec & Eltek International Co Ltd. Elec & Eltek's listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong was voluntarily withdrawn on 18 March 2005.
2004 Acquired Elec & Eltek Group successfully;
Coke and methanol plant in Hebei Province commenced trial production;
Copper foil plant in Lianzhou became operational;
Kingboard Chemical was named one of the World's Best 200 Small Companies by Forbes Global for the 5th consecutive year;
Glass fibre plant in Lianzhou commenced operation;
Bleached kraft paper plant in Taicang started production;
Acquired a further 33% stake in Techwise Circuits Company Limited to increase the total equity stake to 90%; new epoxy glass fibre and paper laminates plants in Fogang, Guangdong, commenced operation;
Kingboard Chemical became a MSCI World Index constituent stock;
Acquired a hydrogen peroxide plant with a monthly production capacity of 6,000 tonne in Gaomi, Shandong.
2003 Phase II of glass yarn plant in Nansha, Panyu commenced operation;
Establishment of second production line for bleached kraft paper in Qinyuan;
Epoxy resin and hydrogen peroxide production capacity further expanded;
Acquired a petrochemical terminal in Changzhou, Jiangsu;
TBBA plant set up in Nansha,Panyu and began production.
2002 Acquired a 57% stake in Techwise Circuits Company Limited in January as vehicle to expand PCB business;
Glass yarn plant set up in Nansha,Panyu;
Began offering value-added services, such as drilling and mass lamination to PCB customers;
Paper laminates plant located in Shaoguan started production in December;
Completion of a 50,000-tonne petrochemical terminal in Nansha, Panyu.
2001

Acquired two formalin plants in Guangdong;
Epoxy resin plant located in Nansha, Panyu began production in October;
Two glass epoxy laminates plants established in Kunshan and Jiangmen, increased the production capacity by 50%.

2000 Hydrogen peroxide plant established in Panyu;
The bleached kraft paper plant located in Fogang started production in June;
Acquired a paper laminates plant in Jiangmen;
Glass fabric plant production capacity was doubled.
1999 Phase II of the copper foil plant started production;
Formalin plant set up in Taicang;
Kingboard Copper Foil Holdings Limited was successfully spun-off on The Singapore Stock Exchange Limited.
1998 Glass fabric plant established in Longhua,Shenzhen commenced operation in September.
1997 Formalin plant established in Panyu began operations in October.
1996 Phase I of the copper foil plant started operation;
Longhua plant accredited under ISO9002 quality assurance certification;
Production of glass epoxy laminates began.
1995 mencement of production of flame retardant laminates.
1994 Established a joint-venture paper laminates plant in Kunshan,Jiangsu with Hitachi Chemical Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Hitachi Chemical Company Limited.
1993 Kingboard Chemical was successfully listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited; Liantang facilities were relocated to Shuitian, Shenzhen; Construction of copper foil plant began in Fogang, Qingyuan.
1992 A joint-venture paper laminates plant was established in Shanghai with two state-owned enterprises.
1991 The second paper laminates plant was set up in Longhua, Shenzhen.
1988 The first paper laminates plant was established in Liantang, Shenzhen by Mr. Paul Cheung Kwok Wing, Mr. Patrick Chan Wing Kwan and other founders.
