Kingboard Chemical Holdings Ltd. embraces the vertical development strategy to expand production capacity and increase economic efficiency. It made its first upstream development move in 1997 when it established the first formalin plant in Panyu, Guangdong.
Now a fully fledged operation headquartered in the Nansha Economic Zone in Panyu, Guangzhou, this chemicals business prospered with fast growing demands from the Pearl River Delta. From the industrial base in the south, the division has been expanding with operations in Hunan, Jiangsu, Hainan, Shandong and other parts of the country to be closer to customer demand. In addition to formalin, the division also produces epoxy resin, melamine, sodium hydrosulphite and TBBA which are the key raw materials for laminates production.
The Group’s monthly capacity for chemical products is as follows: formalin 64,000 tonnes; hydrogen peroxide 16,000 tonnes, epoxy resin 3,000 tonnes, melamine 1,250 tonnes, sodium hydrosulphite 4,000 tonnes, and TBBA 900 tonnes.
The chemicals division adheres to internationally recognized manufacturing standards and deploys DCS emission control and advanced monitoring systems to ensure the highest product quality. All of the production plants are accredited with ISO9001:2000 quality assurance standards.
